Hey, everybody! Welcome to The School of Feedback Guitar YouTube channel. This video is an app review of the iReal Pro app. If you dig app reviews for guitar, for jazz, and whatnot, I would highly recommend subscribing to the channel as I will be doing a lot of app reviews in the near and far future.

As I mentioned earlier, this is an app review of the app iRealPro. It is an excellent app for those guitarists who are jumping into and learning jazz guitar. So check this out. This is basically what it does. I'll turn this up a little bit.

For those of us who are old enough to remember Band-in-a-Box, it is basically the same thing but in such a small little format. You load a lead sheet like you load changes into this program and basically you can play over it and practice your soloing with it. You do have a bunch of options with regards to what you hear. You can be like, take the acoustic bass out or just take the piano out and you can practice all these sorts of things and you can get a lot of other things going with it as well.

Now, what's really, really cool about this is that if you wanted to, you can go to the forums and you can download jazz charts like I've done here. So I've downloaded the 1300 jazz tunes. So if you're looking for Satin Doll, you know a really, really popular song that a lot of beginners to jazz learn, it's right there for you and it's totally free download and of course you can play along.

Okay. iReal Pro is really, really stellar for jazz guitarists.  I honestly wouldn't recommend this for beginners. I wouldn't recommend it for people who are not interested in jazz. But if you are interested in learning jazz and even if you have some experience with jazz and you want to get better at playing some songs without necessarily just jumping into a jam session situation, this app is amazing and I will totally recommend it. I'd also recommend it for jazz teachers of any instrument considering how awesome it is and easy it is to get like just a simple computer sounding band to play, a lead sheet of any sort. So yeah, totally I would recommend it. It's worth all of the coin you'd spend on it.
