Hey, all!  Welcome to the School of Feedback Guitar YouTube channel.  If you dig gear reviews, make sure to subscribe to the channel.  I'll be doing a bunch of them in the near and far future.

The piece of gear that I'm going to be reviewing today is the Kyser Capo.  You have probably seen these capos around once or twice, and I'm going to be doing a little bit of a review on this one today.

Now, I've done reviews on other capos before and I'm really fussy about capos in general.  I don't mean to denigrate this because this is still a fine working piece of machinery, but I can't say that I can totally give it my 100% recommendation for a couple of reasons.

Number one, if you notice that there's a spring right here.  If you can see the spring, right?  It's basically spring loaded.  My hands are reasonably strong.  My grip is reasonably strong, but if your grip isn't very strong, it's going to be hard to put this capo on your guitar and put it off.  Sometimes my hand hurts from doing it and that could be just me getting older and everything, but I don't necessarily like it for that and plus as far as capos are concerned, the back of this thing --

A good, good friend of mine who owns a really, really super expensive guitar used a Kyser Capo for a number of years and he played a bunch of shows. He usually had his capo around fret five, and if you look on the back of this -- Of course, the capo has to be somewhere on the back of the guitar for capos to work, right?  Well, one day he noticed that there was a line there from this capo.

I don't really totally 100% recommend this capo for you, but I will say that it is cheap and I will say that it is well-built.  Okay?  I would not recommend getting this if you have a very light grip and if you have a very expensive guitar.  If you have more expensive guitar, I would probably recommend the G7 Capo, which is a far better capo for really expensive guitars.  It just treats them a little bit better, but if you have cheap guitar, these will do, and, of course, they are on the cheap side as it is.

So, there you have it.  That's my view on the Kyser Capo.  I'd still have one.  I'd still use one if I had a cheap guitar myself, but yeah, that's all I've got for this gear review video.  I hope you liked it.

Please make sure to subscribe if you like gear reviews in general, and, of course, it would be great to hear from you.  Please leave me a comment and yeah, that's all I've got for this video.  Have an excellent rest of your day!  Bye for now.
